Georgia is one of the top states for peanut production. Most of the peanuts produced in Georgia come from the Southwestern part of the state. Peanut production is however prominant all throughout South Georgia heading towards the South Carolina line. The top counties by peanut production pounds are Mitchell (178 million), Decatur (156 million), Worth (125 million), Early (123 million), and Miller (118 million). Appling, Baker, Berrien, Bulloch, Burke, Calhoun, Coffee, Colquitt, and Irwin are also prominent counties for Peanut production with all over 60 million pounds.
